About Us

My name is Katie Falatko and I am the owner of LF Weddings & Events and lead planner and coordinator. I am 34 years old and currently live in Edgewater, MD with my fiancé, Jordan. I am originally from Silver Spring, MD and have lived in various parts of Maryland my whole life. If you can’t tell, I absolutely love Maryland and all of the surrounding areas.

I have a Bachelor's of Arts degree from Loyola University Maryland. I also earned a master's degree from University of Maryland. I am a Certified Wedding and Event Planner through Lovegevity University’s Wedding Planning Institute. You can also find LF Wedding & Events featured on The Knot and WeddingWire.

In my spare time, I enjoy the outdoors, working out, painting, and spending time with my family, friends, and Jordan. I love going out on the water for a boat ride or water skiing or even curling up in a blanket to watch a good movie or game, especially when it’s football season. 

I found my passion for wedding planning when I started planning my own wedding in 2020. I loved the entire process from researching and contacting vendors to touring venues. I wanted to be able to help engaged couples become stress free during this time and enjoy their engagement and wedding day. I discovered Lovegevity’s Wedding and Event Planner course and have gained the necessary skills and knowledge to help others with the wedding planning process. I am so excited to have become a certified wedding planner in order to provide couples with advice and guidance throughout the entire planning process as well as on their big day and beyond!
